2014年8月26日，第十一次全国学术暨英汉翻译研讨会在清华大学开幕。本次会议主题“机遇、创新、和谐”，本次会议进行三天，围绕英汉、英汉文化对比及翻译研究三方面内容讨论。

  清华大学副校长谢维和，季羡林基金会理事长潘际銮院士，清华大学党委原副书记胡显章，大会学术委员会主席、中国英汉语比较研究会会长潘文国，北京外国语大学副校长孙有中，上海外语教育出版社社长庄智家，四川外国语大学副校长董洪川，清华大学比较文学与文化研究中心主任、长江学者教授王宁，中山大学翻译学院院长黄国文、北京外国语大学中国教育研究中心主任文秋芳、台湾翻译学会会长苏正隆以及美国麻州大学教授Edwin Gentzler等，还有来自全国多所高校领域专家代表400多人出席。

  潘文国表示，希望各位嘉宾学者能通过本次会议开展广泛交流，进一步拓展研究空间，促进英汉语比较与翻译研究更好更快发展。

　　《中国翻译》杂志副主编杨平、中国英汉语比较研究会李亚舒先生、英国劳特里奇出版社代表Wendy Ding先后发言，为研讨会的举办和中国英汉语比较研究会成立20周年表示祝贺，并预祝大会圆满成功。

　　开幕式上，由季羡林基金会理事长潘际銮院士和季羡林基金会秘书长王如教授为大会赠送了季羡林先生的亲笔书法。此外，特意赶来参会的季羡林家乡人泰山石刻研究院院长袁明英特意为大会赠送了清政府为孔府圣公祝寿的碑文拓片，泰山名人文化研究院副院长陈墨也为大会赠送了孔子的《论语》。

　　8月26~28日，中国英汉语比较研究会第十一次全国学术研讨会暨2014英汉语比较与翻译研究国际研讨会将开展为期三天的学术研讨和交流环节，与会嘉宾学者将围绕当代语言学理论与英汉语对比研究、双语对比分析在英语教学中的应用、中外语言教学传统的比较、双语习得与双语加工、翻译史与案例研究、翻译社会学的研究途径、语言哲学对语言学理论的贡献、典籍英译现状研究、计算语言学与语料库研究、中国文化外译的接受研究、英汉文化差异与文本误读、英汉语言与文化的界面研究等多个议题展开讨论。
